From 2016 vintage all ARTADI wines will include the logo of the Certification for Organic Wine

In 2002, we initiated the conversion process in Bodegas y Viñedos ARTADI de Laguardia by gradually changing our conventional viticulture into integrated farming, finally achieving an organic agriculture based on the respect for the environment.

Along this period, we have discovered the importance of following this guideline:  respect for the environment and sustainability in the cultivation of our vineyards.

As a reward for our behavior, we have realized that our wines reflect their origin, without any chemical residue that would distort their nature and personality. In short, they are more natural wines that reflect in a clearer purity the character of our vineyards and our “terroir”. This process of change has not been easy: it entails a project of adaptation both from an agricultural and vinification point of view. It has required time and efforts from everyone in our team both in the winery and, above all in the vineyard.

Thanks to this work and following tradition, we obtain healthier wines for consumers, we favour biological biodiversity, we catalyze the microbiological activity of the soil, and we help to reach a comprehensive sustainability of the winegrowing production system.

After these fifteen years of work, we have decided to include the logo of the Certification for Organic Wine on the labels of this new 2016 vintage.

With TEMPRANILLO by Artadi 2016, that we have just released to the market this week, we consolidate the journey we started in 2002.
