At the beginning of February we have released the new vintage of El Sequé 2014. Good news for all lovers of this, our most Mediterranean wine.
The 2014 harvest began in Alicante with a rainy winter that made a water reserve essential for the summer. It was a hot and dry summer, reaching high temperatures, above the average. Few days before the harvest we had a few rainfall and the temperatures dropped. Afterward we had wind coming from the north and finally we can say that we had an excellent vintage.
The growing season was perfect and the grapes we got had a great balance of acidity and very rich polyphenolic that has resulted in a generous, fruity and very expressive wine.

EL SEQUÉ
It is made in the small town of Pinoso (Alicante). The vineyards used for making this wine are surrounding the winery and located at 600 meters above sandy quaternary soils with a clay subsoil. These vines are cultivated with the utmost respect of the environment following a totally organic viticulture.
As a result of the care of our own vineyards we get this wine Monastrell 100%. This wine has a clear Mediterranean influence, with warm and calm nuances of black fruit and soft aromas and tastes of balsamic and aromatic plants. This is a wine with an authentic Mediterranean character.
